Steve Kay is a Principal Technical Architect with in-depth experience in architecting, designing and developing solutions for Cloud, Mobile, SharePoint, Windows Server and Windows Desktop platforms. Steve is an experienced Technical Team Lead, with an extensive track record of leading teams to success in the delivery of complex projects.

Methods - Principal Technical Architect involved in advising clients on best architectural practices along with prioviding technical expertise for their existing estates and future transformation plans.
FCA - Creation and oversight of strategic architecture for software development and effective data science, both immature at the start.
Boston Consulting Group – Technical Architect for all things Microsoft related, overseeing the transition of the user base from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and part of defining the digital roadmap. More recently been working with Cognitive Services to see where AI can be utilised by BCG.
uNite Project – Solution Architect and Developer for the custom SMTP backbone and management platform,including the design and implementation of the custom components.
DocGenie Project – Lead Developer at Schroders creating a data driven document and slide merging system that allowed the business to easily produce monthly reports and new proposals for clients containing the latest financial data.
Lead SharePoint Architect - Architecting the hybrid on premise and Office 365 architecture for Shell implementations, and leading the uplift from 2010 to 2013 on premise. Also, designed the T-Systems Application Hosting Platform for compliance with vNext. Various other projects including the implementation of complex technical components for the SharePoint platform.
Prior to this, Steve worked primarily in large enterprises with various technologies and became involved in the design and architecture of large scale multi user implementations.
Steve has a reputation for delivery, is passionate and committed, and up for doing what it takes to get the job done. He is hands-on, get-stuck-in, can-do type of person. He is self-motivated, hard-working, enthusiastic, resourceful and versatile. He prides himself on his ability to meet deadlines, deliver high quality solutions and exceed client expectations.
Steve also is a keen technologist and likes to keep up with the latest offerings. Over the last 3 years he has been working personally on a complex data project (Azure hosted), with a Web API, with a mobile front end using Xamarin (iOS) as a development platform and providing a front-end UI using Angular 5 – all with Continuous Integration and Delivery using Azure DevOps.
Steve's expertise with Xamarin is completely self-taught and developed due to a passion for learning and pushing the boundaries. His primary applications (not published) are Fitness Workout monitor, Location finder (postcode and street level information) and the aforementioned complex data project pulling information from many public sources and analysing them (full stack).
